Abstract: I will describe some recent work on the construction of blow-up solutions for classes of nonlinear degenerate equations like the Fast Diffusion Equation. This equation appears in the theory of porous media but also in geometry as the Yamabe flow. By means of an inner-outer parabolic gluing, we construct solutions with finite time singularities.
