Abstract: This talk consists of three parts.
In part 1, we will introduce the Euler equations and the history of the researches related to Onsager’s conjecture. In particular, the convex integration method will be mentioned. In part 2, we will introduce the recent result on the non-uniqueness of weak solution to the 3D Navier-Stokes equations by Buckmaster-Vicol, and present some open problems as well.In part 3, we will introduce our recent progress on the construction of HÖlder continuous weak solutions to the 3D Navier-Stokes equations with only vertical viscosity. The method based on multiple-step iterative scheme, which is very related to the convex integration method.
